And while luxury hotels are usually my go-to choice, over the years, I have compiled a little black book of boutique gems that are on the more affordable side - but still just as chic, cosy, and characterful.

I am often asked to recommend hotels at a more accessible price point, so below I’m sharing 12 of my favourite boutique hotels across the UK that won’t break the bank.

While all of the hotels included in this post are gentler on the purse strings than some of the hotels I’ve shared in other round-ups, you can naturally expect room rates to hike up during peak seasons, weekends, or national holidays - so bear this in mind when booking your stay.
